What a day. We left home on June 2 for a long overdue trip. I cannot believe that Amy and I will soon celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
We were excited to leave for our trip. Our arrival into Love Field was perfect. We leisurely strolled to the terminal, grabbed done lunch, and people watched. Then we saw the one word every flyer dreads to see.. canceled. Who knew we would have to go through Denver to get to New York City. we arrived in New York City at 10:30pm. Two hours later our luggage arrived and then we finally got to the car taking us to our hotel. Our driver was so kind. He knew the perfect place to get a burger at 1:30am. Exhausted, we arrived to our hotel about 2am.
What a great time we have had in New York City. Great folks, great sights, and great memories. Our 25 years of marriage is like our anniversary trip. It’s been 25 years of adventure, excitement, challenges, tears, lots of grace and above all love. Amy has been a constant source of stability, strength, a cheerleader and my fierce protector. Amy continues to be my partner in life and ministry.
As I sit on the balcony of our cruise ship, I can hear the waves, feel the cool breeze and all is calm. We were having great conversation as we waited to board the ship Amy ask, ”What have you learned 5 days into your sabbatical?” My response, ”I am enough, I am enough” Amy said, ”You’ve always been enough!!”
As reflect and look forward to tomorrow’s adventures, I give thanks for my wife Amy. She’s my everything and I can’t wait to see what the next 25 years holds for us.
Much Love——Tom

Love hearing about yours and Amy’s adventures!

Congratulations on 25 years!!! You are a a good husband and a wise, wise man to give Amy such accolades. And she’s right. You ARE enough and ALWAYS have been. You have been a steadfast leader in these years of Covid and UMC chaos. Thank you!!
